The Encounter Cafe

We welcome everyone to come enjoy “Food, Friendship, Faith”

Our Beginnings

The Encounter Cafe LLC. is a for-profit restaurant. All profits will then be used for humanitarian aid and for inner city missions & infrastructure. A 5 to 7 man board of directors from the Sharon Bethel and New Hope Congregations has been set in place to oversee start up and ongoing operations of the restaurant. The Sharon Bethel and New Hope Members are joining together in this venture as a mission opportunity in the local city of Iowa City, IA.

Our Purpose

To operate a cafe in order to minister God’s light in an atmosphere of peace.

Our Mission

1. To be a peaceful place to eat in a busy world.

2. To minister God’s peace into a broken world.

3. To demonstrate biblical lifestyle.

4. To provide quality, healthy food.

5. To expand the kingdom of God:

~ By providing opportunity for missional engagement.

~ By producing profits that can be directed to humanitarian aid and to inner city

missions & infrastructure.
